Highway 66 Tips & Tricks

Highway 66, the Ultimate Mini Bowling Experience, is the Ultimate in Easy Maintenance. We have some easy tips on cleaning and care of your machines, so the games keep rolling along.

General Cleaning Instructions

1.    Power Off: Always power off all electronic equipment before cleaning.

2.    Avoid Liquids on Electronics: Be careful around plugs, wires, and receptacle locations to prevent liquids from getting in.

3.    Wear Gloves: Use disposable gloves when cleaning and disinfecting surfaces. Discard them after each cleaning and wash your hands immediately.

Lane Surfaces

•    A dry gutter mop or dry lane duster can be used for lane care and cleaning like:

Bowling Balls

•    Inspect for Cracks: Before cleaning, inspect the bowling balls for cracks to prevent damage to the ball return or lanes.

•    Cleaning Solution: Wipe the entire surface and finger holes with a microfiber cloth moistened with a 70% Isopropyl Alcohol solution.

The cloth should be damp, not dripping wet. Allow the solution to sit for 5 minutes before wiping off. Alternatively, you can use quaternary ammonium-based solutions, but avoid saturating the ball

Ball Return, Ball Rack, and Payment Console

•    Disinfecting: Wipe each surface with a microfiber cloth moistened with a 70% Isopropyl Alcohol solution or use a disinfecting wipe. The cloth should be damp, not dripping wet. Air-dry and wipe with a fresh microfiber cloth.

Additional Tips

•    Avoid Certain Chemicals: Do not use chlorine-based cleaners, peroxides, solvents like acetone or paint thinner, ammonia-based products, or ethyl alcohol as they can cause permanent damage.

Perform preventive maintenance tasks according to the following chart. Recommended service intervals are specified for the first 500,000 frames/5 Years of machine operation.

All preventive maintenance intervals should be performed at the stated frame count or time interval, whichever comes first.
