Next year’s Bowling World Cup is going to......
QubicaAMF is delighted to announce that the 52nd Bowling World Cup in 2016 will be held in Shanghai, China, from October 14th to 23rd. The announcement was made at the victory banquet after this year’s tournament in Las Vegas and followed a dance by Chinese dragons.
This most modern of cities – China’s largest in terms of population - has plenty to offer visitors, from the traditional Chinese decoration of the Yu Garden to the amazing television tower, the tallest building in China. Located on the banks of the Yangtze river, Shanghai has an interesting history and many cultural destinations. A ‘must see’ is the Bund - the waterside area in the centre of the city.
Hao’s Bowling opened in September 2015 and is one of the Chinese Bowling Association’s (CBA) National Training Centres for junior bowlers. It has already hosted the CBA’s Men’s Chinese Championships for South China. The 24-lane centre is equipped with QubicaAMF’s latest Bowler Entertainment System (BES X) ensuring a smooth running tournament with fast results and live on-line scoring. Hao’s Bowling is situated in the downtown area, with lots of opportunities for shopping. Our host and the Hao’s centre proprietor, Mr Shun Wei Zhu, was at the victory banquet and told all the bowlers and guests “Welcome to Shanghai” before showing a video about the city.
David Chiang, QubicaAMF’s distributor in China, said: “This is the second time the Bowling World Cup will be held in China and I know everyone will just love the vibrant city of Shanghai.”
