Sweden moves into the lead at the halfway stage

James Gruffman of Sweden moved up the standings to be in the lead at the halfway stage of qualifying in the 48th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup in Wroclaw, Poland.    His total of 2290 puts him 29 pins ahead of Kent Marshall of the USA who is in second with Mads Sandbaekken of Norway in third on 2260. Our leader after the first set of 5, Mykhaylo Kalika from the Ukraine, has dropped back to 4th place.

Interestingly the top three women all have totals over 2300 and would be heading the men’s leader board!

High game remains 283 from Magnus Magnusson of Iceland.

At the moment the cut for the top 24 and a place in the second round is 2093, Keith Saw of Singapore, just two pins ahead of Sergey Andreev of Russia.

The overall average for all the men is 199.92, one of the highest standards ever.
