Important Notice: Windows 10 End of Life (EOL) and impact on Conqueror operations 

Recommended actions for your center about the Windows 10 EOL on October 14, 2025  

Dear Valued Customer, 

The upcoming End of Life (EOL) for Windows 10 will occur on October 14, 2025. This change will affect all centers with Conqueror terminals, including Remote terminals, or Lite Separate Servers, based on PCs installed with Windows 10. 

What This Means for You: 

After the EOL date on October 14, 2025, Microsoft will no longer provide support, updates, or security patches for Windows 10. This means that we cannot guarantee that Conqueror X will continue to function properly, as it may rely on updates or new features from Microsoft exclusively with Windows 11. 

While Conqueror X should not stop working immediately after the EOL date, there is a risk that it could become unstable or non-functional. 

QubicaAMF Precautionary Measures: 

To prevent potential disruptions to Conqueror X and the broader QubicaAMF product ecosystem, beginning October 15, 2025, we will no longer release software updates to centers using Conqueror terminals, including Remote terminals, or Conqueror Lite servers, based on PCs with Windows 10. 

Although Conqueror X will continue to operate, other products such as Conqueror Web, Conqueror Kiosk, and Neoverse may experience issues over time. 

Additionally, centers using Windows 10 will lose their PCI compliance. Please be aware that we are not experts on PCI compliance, and we are unable to provide assistance or answer inquiries regarding this matter. We strongly recommend consulting with a qualified professional for any PCI compliance-related questions. 

Recommended Actions for Your Center: 

We strongly recommend that you replace any PCs running Windows 10 with new PCs with Windows 11 at your earliest convenience. Please contact your sales representative to discuss the necessary steps and plan your upgrade. 

We urge you to act promptly as the waiting time for new PC installations is likely to increase as we get closer to October 14, 2025. To delay taking these actions may result in instability or disruptions in your Conqueror X service. 

About the Windows 11 upgrade: 

While Microsoft states it is technically possible to upgrade existing Windows 10 PCs to Windows 11, this requires meeting specific hardware requirements, including UEFI firmware with Secure Boot capability and TPM version 2.0 which might not be supported by your PC. 

However, we do not recommend this approach as it could lead to issues including the loss of a Conqueror terminal (including Remote terminals, or Separate Lite Servers) and loss of files/data stored on that terminal/server. In that case, our Technical Support teams won’t be able to assist you remotely.
