 1. Definitions, type of cookies and application of regulations

It is thanks to cookies that the website remembers your actions and preferences (such as, for example, login details, language chosen, font size, other display settings, etc.) so that they do not need to be reset when you return to that site or browse from one page to another.

WebSphere Commerce uses a secure authentication cookie to manage authentication data. An authentication cookie flows only over SSL. For increased security, it has a timestamp with a signature. This cookie is used to authenticate the user over SSL-connections.

These four main cookies set by the Google Analytics service which enables website owners to track visitor behavior and measure site performance. This cookie lasts for 2 years by default and distinguishes between users and sessions. It it used to calculate new and returning visitor statistics. The cookie is updated every time data is sent to Google Analytics. The lifespan of the cookie can be customized by website owners.

This cookie is set by Google Analytics. According to their documentation it is used to throttle the request rate for the service - limiting the collection of data on high traffic sites. It expires after 10 minutes 

Google Universal Analytics 


This cookie name is asssociated with Google Universal Analytics - which is a significant update to Google's more commonly used analytics service. This cookie is used to distinguish unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier. It is included in each page request in a site and used to calculate visitor, session and campaign data for the sites analytics reports. By default it is set to expire after 2 years, although this is customisable by website owners

This cookie is used to group the user behavior together for each user. Structure of its value is very similar to _ga cookie. It expires after 24 hours of inactivity.

This cookie is associated with web analytics functionality and services from Hot Jar, a Malta based company. It uniquely identifies a visitor during a single browser session and indicates they are included in an audience sample.

Hotjar cookie. This cookie is set when the customer first lands on a page with the Hotjar script. It is used to persist the random user ID, unique to that site on the browser. This ensures that behavior in subsequent visits to the same site will be attributed to the same user ID. 



Cookie associated with sites using CloudFlare, used to speed up page load times. According to CloudFlare it is used to override any security restrictions based on the IP address the visitor is coming from. It does not contain any user identification information.

Our web pages may contain plugins of the most popular social networks (i.e. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) managed by third parties. Such plugins, for example, may be the “Like” button on Facebook or the “Retweet” button on Twitter. If you access one of our web pages with a similar plugin, your Internet browser will connect directly to the third-party servers and the plugin will be shown on your screen through your browser connection. The plugin may inform third party servers about which pages you have visited. If a social network user visits our web pages while logged into his/her account, this information may be associated with the account. If you use the plugin features (for example, by clicking the “Like” button), the information will be associated with your account. 


(Third-party) Social buttons and widgets  

You can also find Social buttons/widgets, i.e. “buttons” representing social network icons (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, etc.), on the Website. These “buttons” allow you to visit and interact directly with the social networks with a simple “click”, while you are browsing the Website. By clicking on the Social buttons/widgets, the social network acquires the data relating to your visit. Apart from these cases, in which you willingly click to share your browsing data with the chosen social networks, QubicaAMF shall not share any browsing information or data relating to you through its Website with social networks accessible through the Social buttons/widgets.
