Caroline still tops the standings
Caroline Lagrange of Canada is still leading the women’s section of the 49th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup at the half way point of the qualifying round.
But her six game score today – 1449 - was bettered by Cherie Tan of Singapore who shot 1471 and by Aumi Guerra of the Dominican Republic who shot 1462.
Cherie and Aumi are now in second and third places respectively.
Caroline, Cherie and Aumi were the only women to shoot over 1400 but a further 14 hit 1300+. The overall average for the women is 195.83.
We are still waiting and hoping for our first perfect game from the ladies. High game today, and leading for the tournament, was 290 from Sandra Andersson of Sweden.
At this half way stage the cut for the top 24 is 2484, a 204 average, with Nataliya Shcherbinina of Ukraine in 24th, just ahead of 15-year old Merlina San Nicolas of Mexico on 2479.
The live streaming from lanes 15/16 and 17/18 is proving very popular with hundreds watching the bowling and many fans joining in with the message board. To log on, just go to the QubicaAMF web site, click on the Bowling World Cup 2013 tab and go to live streaming on You Tube.

The 49th QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup is taking take place from 15th to 24th November in the 32-lane ‘Sharovaya Molniya’ (lightning ball or fireball) bowling centre which itself is part of the ‘World Class’ fitness centre and Hilton hotel complex owned by the Sibiryak company.
