QubicaAMF Introduces On-Lane Redemption for Bowling Lanes

Release date: 8/3/2009

On-Lane Redemption by QubicaAMF offers a complete, customizable solution
to turn bowling into a redemption game, and manage bowling center redemption activity.

July 28, 2009 (Mechanicsville, VA) – QubicaAMF Worldwide, a leader in the bowling products industry, introduces an On-Lane Redemption System that provides bowling centers the ability to issue redemption tickets on the lanes. The system is fully integrated with QubicaAMF’s Bowler Entertainment System (BES), Conqueror Pro Management System and Trouble Call System (TCS), to provide a complete, customizable solution for managing bowling center redemption activity.

Centers have the ability to set preferences for ticket issuing, ticket value and payout control. Ticket issuing can be linked to customer type, lane opening mode, a specific time period or to any bowling game event managed by the Bowler Entertainment System (BES). Ticket emitters on the lanes communicate the number of tickets issued, per player, for the session bowled to the Conqueror Pro Management System. On-lane animations display the tickets issued per bowler per frame. Through a series of available reports, a center can see how many tickets were issued by period and their value, see payout percent versus revenue and see revenue for bowling games with redemption by day or period.

“This is the only system on the market that allows centers to turn bowling lanes into redemption games. On screen animations add entertainment value to the game, encouraging customers to bowl more games and return to the center more frequently,” says Jay Buhl, Vice President of Sales for The Americas for QubicaAMF Worldwide. “Redemption games are increasingly popular among open play bowlers, and represent a successful revenue generating tool for centers that cater to this market segment,” adds Buhl.

One ticket dispenser per pair of lanes is the only hardware component to be installed. It holds two ticket emitters, which can service both lanes simultaneously. The ticket dispenser mounts on the floor in front of the ball return making it accessible to bowlers on both lanes, and does not interfere with bowler activity.

On-Lane Redemption is fully integrated with the optional Trouble Call System (TCS). TCS advises the mechanic and front desk operator automatically if a problem occurs at the ticket dispenser, or if tickets need to be reloaded. Additionally, problems are tracked and reported in TCS Reports.

Redemption has become a staple in Family Entertainment Centers (FECs) and is fast becoming a part of traditional bowling center modernization as a result of the incremental profit potential it provides. The On-Lane Redemption System allows a bowling center to take the first step towards a full redemption program attracting more open play bowlers and adding incremental profits.
